Sophie Rieckmann has a background in Social Sciences and Geopolitics, with a particular focus on the contemporary Middle East and North Africa, as well as comparative religious sociology and anthropology.
Sophie has worked in social impact startups, focused on addressing some of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals through designing strategies for these organisations, leading research and development teams, and participating in UK All-Party Parliamentary Groups.
Sophie is currently also a trainee junior analysts at Istituto Analisi Relazioni Internazionali (IARI), developing skills in OSINT and analytical geopolitical forecasting. Her macro-specialisation is in the Middle East and North Africa.
Sophie is a double merit scholar in her final year of the BA Social Sciences programme at Charles University, Prague. She is planning on pursuing internships after graduating to develop her skills and knowledge further, before pursuing a master’s.
