  1. On 26 October 2024, Georgians cast their ballots in the country's tenth parliamentary elections since impendence from the Soviet Union was declared in 1991.

  2. The election has taken on the character of a referendum on Georgia's future as a European country, as well as on the rule of the pro-Russian Georgian Dream party, which has been in power since 2012.

  3. According to official results, Georgian Dream secured a victory, receiving 54.2% of the vote and soundly defeating opposition parties Coalition for Change (10.8%), Unity National Movement (10%) and Strong for Georgia (8.7%).
