About the Role

As Head of Desk, you would be responsible for researching and drafting content for our articles and intelligence reports
You would collaborate closely with members of the Global Weekly editorial team and coordinate with other desks on joint reports and multi-media content.
All content must be well-researched and factually correct. Our articles are engaging and synthesise complex information for public viewing. As Head of Desk, we expect you to make leading decisions on managing relevant, high-quality content.
Remotely based and with no set hours, you may work on your own time, provided the work is completed so as not to impede our regular publishing.

Experience is preferred, but not required

Requirements:

Demonstrably good English writing and editing skills.
Enthusiasm about Geopolitics, Global Affairs and Foreign Policy.
Knowledgeable on leading debates and current events relating to politics in the region to which you are applying.
Ability to remotely manage members of a team of diverse perspectives.
Ability to research effectively, and to present those findings in an easily accessible, written manner.
